Perfect blend

This card is made using the stamps from the perfect blend set which is a current stamp set. The papers I used however are retired ones. They are Paisley Petals and Wintergreen. I  stamped the image onto some whisper white and one of the sheets from the Paisley Petals. I then cute out the stamp pieces and paper pieced it to get the pattern on the cup and the top of the lid. The words are also from the Perfect Blend set and they were stamped on Whisper white card stock with Wisteria Wonder, cut out and pieced on the cup. I have used a little piece of ruffled ribbon also in Wisteria Wonder and tied a little knot in it.

I am rather annoyed with myself on this card because I was rushing a little (as you do when you are excited to play with new stamps) and I didn't line up the paper so there is slightly more of the base paper showing on the left but I knew if I tried to correct it I would tear the paper. It's a good job it's ok to make mistakes, and its also a good reminder that crafting is about having fun...not being perfect ;)

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

  2. Great image and the sentiment is oh, so true for me! Nicely colored! There is an old Chinese proverb that says "Gold cannot be Pure and People cannot be Perfect." We crafters are here to give that proverb legs!!:D) Wonderful project! Thanks for sharing it here with us at 613 Avenue Create!
