Exciting things coming

Today I am going to share with you a card I have made with some of the fantastic items coming in the new year Stampin up's Sale-A-Bration event. During this event you will be able to claim a free item with every £45 you spend. now £45 might seem like a lot of money so Stampin up have gone one step further, for around £45- £50 you can buy a specially selected bundle of items and when you then add on your freebie well it is a deal worth checking out!

I will be bringing you more information about that as it comes, If you are after a bargain it would be worth having a a look at the current up to 80% off sale, items are selling fast so you need to be quick!

The card I have made this morning is for the Bearly mine challenge, I loved the sketch they have so just had to give it a go.

Everything I have used is from stampin up apart from the tiny brads for the flowers however Stampin up do sell a similar product.
The Card stock is the Not quite Navy card stock which is currently in the clearance at only £2.49 for the pack.

The papers and stamp sets that I used on the front and inside the card are going to be part of the Sale-A-Bration promotion in the new year and are an example of the free items!
The Flowers were made using Floral Fusion Stampin' Up! Sizzlits Die

Giggle greetings

Hello! I ordered another stamp set a couple of weeks ago and have been having a bit of a play so I thought I would share it with you.
The stamp set is called Giggle Greetings

For this first card I used the cat on the bottom. I stamped it onto whisper white cardstock with a stazon blank ink then coloured him in with Stampin' write markers in crumb cake and daffodil delight.

For the card base I used some not quite navy card stock and a piece of Night of Navy 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon to add a bit of dimension to the card

Perfect blend

This card is made using the stamps from the perfect blend set which is a current stamp set. The papers I used however are retired ones. They are Paisley Petals and Wintergreen. I  stamped the image onto some whisper white and one of the sheets from the Paisley Petals. I then cute out the stamp pieces and paper pieced it to get the pattern on the cup and the top of the lid. The words are also from the Perfect Blend set and they were stamped on Whisper white card stock with Wisteria Wonder, cut out and pieced on the cup. I have used a little piece of ruffled ribbon also in Wisteria Wonder and tied a little knot in it.

I am rather annoyed with myself on this card because I was rushing a little (as you do when you are excited to play with new stamps) and I didn't line up the paper so there is slightly more of the base paper showing on the left but I knew if I tried to correct it I would tear the paper. It's a good job it's ok to make mistakes, and its also a good reminder that crafting is about having fun...not being perfect ;)

Halloweeny

I love to create things that are a little different and as soon as I saw the dark and dreary digital set I knew I HAD to have it, I can see this being one of my most used sets :D

I printed the image onto some vellum that I had and made this really cool little lantern, how awesome does that look all lit up?

Something old something new

This is a brand new blog but my first few posts will be some older makes that I am sharing.

I apologize now that not every single thing in these are Stampin Up products as when I made some of them I only had limited things and I have a whole room full of different bits of paper I have collected over the years.

This first one is a very simple card using the Valentine Love stamp set. ( most of the stamps I will be sharing in these first few makes are retired sets)
